DC PARTNERS BREAKS GROUND ON SIX-ACRE MIXED-USE PROJECT IN HOUSTON
Houston-based DC Partners has broken ground on The Allen, a six-acre mixed-use project located near Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston. The development will include a 99-unit condominium building, a Thompson-branded luxury hotel, an office building and retail and restaurant spaces. The grand opening of The Allen is slated for the first quarter of 2021, though the hotel is not scheduled to be complete until 2023. DC Partners is developing the project in partnership with Tianqing Real Estate Development and Westmont Hospitality Group.

A slate of luxury apartment towers, state-of-the-art headquarters and hotels under construction promise to fill in the downtown San Antonio skyline — but residents may have to wait a while longer to see the results.
Construction on The Arts Residences at the Thompson San Antonio — a $116 million high-rise at 123 Lexington Ave. — is expected to wrap in early 2020. The tower will have 63 luxury condominiums and 162 premium hotel rooms.

BANK OFFERS ZERO-DOWN MORTGAGES AT LUXURY CONDO TOWER
At Arabella, a high-end condominium tower along the West Loop, buyers with good credit can qualify for a mortgage with just 10 percent down.
But those with an M.D. after their name can get a mortgage without putting down a penny.
Banks have been making zero-down mortgage loans to doctors in recent years as they’ve realized that while physicians may be in debt from medical school, their salaries are high and they make good banking customers.

A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for next week to begin construction on a new high-rise that will include dozens of residences and more than 150 hotel rooms.
The Arts Residences and Thompson San Antonio will be built at the corner of North St. Mary’s Street and Lexington Avenue, along the River Walk and across from the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Artist renderings show an impressive and elegant facade; the hotel rooms feature upscale fixtures and plush accommodations.

Located on the San Antonio River Walk, the $116 million, 20-level mixed-use hotel condominium tower atop San Antonio’s first Thompson Hotel is bringing much-sought-after luxury living accommodations to downtown San Antonio’s Arts District.
